Descriptif du poste

The Financial Controller is responsible for the output of the finance function for France; this
includes day to day running of the function, responsibility across accounting, finance, and
compliance, and ad-hoc projects as required by the CFO/senior management.
The individual will be highly motivated and have excellent people skills in order to liaise with
finance and non-finance individuals across the business.
The role will require someone who is also good with data and has excellent attention to detail.

YOUR MISSIONS

  • Management account:
  • Ensuring all accounting practices follow legal guidelines and established accounting
    principles
  • Ensuring day-to-to operations within the finance function included (Banking, purchase
    ledger, sales ledger, accruals & prepayments process, journal entries and payroll
    management, billing, tax, internal controls, intercompany activity, audit, factoring)
  • Being responsible for Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable oversight
  • Interacting with vendors and clients as it relates to finance and invoicing matters
  • Being responsible for the calculation of the monthly revenues (monthly turnover
    reconciliation)
  • Handling month-end and year-end closing procedures in a timely manner
  • Closely interacting with the external accounting company and supervising their financial
    management accounts.
  • Working knowledge of best practice accounting principles (ifrs, gaap
  • Reporting:
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
  • Ensuring a FP&A analysis on a monthly basis
  • Developing reports that convey complex financial information to non-specialists in clear
    and easy to understand formats
  • Working with department leads to develop relevant information and statistical analysis
    (KPI’s) (Sales, Operations, Base costs).
  • Simplify and digitalize our current reporting (mainly made on Excel).
    Treasury:
  • Ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Monitor and cash flows to maximise interest receivable
  • Keep relationships with bankers
    Compliance:
  • Developing and implementing effective financial accounting function in France
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity in the financial records and a strong internal control
    environment
  • Conducting and leading the annual audit
  • Management:
  • Communicate with outside entities on behalf of the company for administrative matters
  • Collaborating with other departments
  • Managing a direct report person (Billing Assistant & Office Manager) that includes
    coaching and developing her skills for a more effective work environment, setting her
    targets and 121.

Profil recherché

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Controller, or equivalent in a fast-growing business or a previous
    experience as auditor
  • Experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Post-graduate diploma in Accounting or Finance or Business School Diploma
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use all MS packages, particularly Excel
  • Ability to communicate to both finance individuals and also to non-finance individuals across the
    Company
