Department Overview

We are recruiting for a Yahoo! Direct Response Analyst to join the Y! Network DR Optimisation & Analysis team. Based in Paris, this person will focus primarily on supporting French agencies and their clients.

The team serve a critical role in the management and optimisation of DR campaigns with the primary objective of exceeding client expectations for the performance of their marketing budgets on the Y!DR Network.

The team regularly interact with the Sales teams who manage clients' overall expectations and campaigns across all Y! products. The team also provide regular feedback to the Media Buying team on the quality of publisher inventory and data, and in collaboration with the Network Yield Management team, on how media buying efforts may improve campaign performance.

The overall objective of the DR Optimisation & Analysis team is to effectively manage campaigns run on the Y!DR Network and maintain the client relationship in coordination with the sales rep.


– Working individually or within a team, the DR Analyst will adopt a senior role in the optimisation process of display advertising campaigns.$

– Campaign planning and delivery management with the objective of reaching client ROI goals

– Assess data available to make performance based decisions on media and campaign optimisation

– Assess the campaign objectives and if required request more information in order to effectively optimise the campaign

– Analyse the designated campaigns on the Y!DR Network ensuring optimum delivery and allocation of impressions between campaigns

– Review and use the appropriate behavioural segments and data available for campaign optimisation

– Client Servicing – while not the main point of contact for the client, the DR Analyst will quite often assume the role of ‘technical expert,’ needing to communicate with the client to explain campaign progress and address any blocking issues

– The Analyst will need to correlate internal efforts with meeting clients’ needs and conduct and present post campaign analysis and reporting.

– Help drive revenue through good campaign performance whilst considering the implications of net revenue through targeting inventory and data.

– Supporting other team members in the EU markets; best practise sharing.

– Offering consultative and strategic ideas to the Sales team for pitching new business, improving campaign performance and maintaining client relationships.


– BA or QBE

– Experience working in online campaign management desirable, preferably at an Ad Network

– Fluency in English and French

– Strong Analytical skills – a good understanding of analytics and interpretation of data as well as the core drivers of online advertising, marketing and direct marketing in particular

– Passionate and committed to growing DR accounts through hitting performance metrics via analysis and optimisation

– Results orientated with sharp attention to detail

– Proven ability to manage multiple daily tasks, as well as long-term strategic projects

– Proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with and extracting data from internal systems
