LiquidM was acquired by Smart in December, 2019.

Based in NYC, the Demand Partnerships team in the U.S. is made up of energetic and results-driven individuals that bring our advertising products to the market each day – working with clients across agencies, in-house brand teams and platform partners.

✍️ What you’ll do

LiquidM (Smart) is looking for an entrepreneurial, performance driven, and team oriented Demand Partnerships Manager based in NYC. The ideal candidate is an individual who is able to identify new client opportunities with agencies (trading desks) and client-direct brands, successfully ascertain meetings, educate and inspire clients, negotiate the required MSAs and ultimately drive revenue. In this role you will be responsible for all sales activities for the LiquidM product in North America and collaborate closely with the Demand Partnerships team, to uncover full-stack partnership opportunities across buyers using Smart’s tech stack. We are in an exciting period of growth and need someone with the experience of selling and/or working with self-service DSP platforms who can take a proven product and run with it.

The Manager, Demand Partnerships at LiquidM position is our first official hire for LiquidM in the U.S. market; reporting directly into the VP Head of U.S. Demand, based in NYC and collaborating closely with the Global VP of Business Development for LiquidM, based in Berlin.

With LiquidM (Smart), you’ll get to :

Individual contributor, leading new business development opportunities to fuel LiquidM’s DSP pipeline and growth of advertising agencies and direct clients

Confidently engage with multiple levels of clients – from senior leadership at agencies and direct clients to hands-on-keys traders

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of LiquidM products and services along with Smart’s full-stack capabilities

Negotiate and secure MSAs and drive ongoing campaign activation to achieve sales targets

Manage client relationships, opportunities, and sales activities, using our sales tools including Salesforce CRM

Effectively collaborate and communicate with teams across Smart, including: product, marketing, sales, account management, client support, etc.

Facilitate product feedback loops with our development team

Work closely with client success teams to monitor and ensure successful usage of the platform and ongoing client happiness

Collaborate with the broader demand sales team on instances where managed service or up-selling the full-stack is possible – determining appropriate business models and developing client proposals

💪 About you

5+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at an agency trading desk or DSP

Experience with selling or using advertising platforms on both the supply side (e.g. Smart, Magnite, Pubmatic, Xandr) and the demand side (e.g. Adobe, Amazon, Google, The Trade Desk, Verizon Media)

Agency or agency trading desk experience overseeing, implementing, and using advertising technology across a large number of brand accounts

Deep understanding of the programmatic landscape and current trends

Comfortable guiding new clients through an onboarding process: demo the solution, match clients’ needs with our offer, prepare account setup, and review / negotiating MSAs with legal and finance teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through

Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person or over the phone

Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
